Positive behavioral supports can play an important role in helping individuals build confidence, develop everyday skills, and participate more fully in their communities. At Building Bloch’s Pathways, we believe these supports are most effective when they are integrated into real-life experiences rather than delivered separately. Our person-centered approach focuses on helping participants achieve meaningful goals while promoting independence, choice, and community inclusion.
Every participant is unique. While Community Integration is our primary service, some individuals benefit from additional behavioral support to successfully participate in community-based experiences. Rather than separating behavioral services from everyday life, Building Bloch’s Pathways integrates behavioral supports into daily community activities, when appropriate, through collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
Behavioral supports may include:
- Transition support
- Emotional regulation
- Communication support
- Social skills development
- Community safety
- Daily living and adaptive skill development
- Positive behavior strategies
- Individualized support plans
- Staff collaboration
- Data collection and progress monitoring
Our interdisciplinary team may include:
- Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Families
- Independent Facilitators
- Regional Centers
- Other members of the participant’s support team
Behavioral supports are individualized based on each participant’s strengths, goals, interests, preferences, and support needs. Our goal is to help participants build confidence, increase independence, strengthen communication and social skills, and successfully participate in meaningful community experiences.
